Celebrating 60 Years of Leverett & Kindler Optometrists

This year marks a very special milestone for Leverett & Kindler Optometrists: 60 years of caring for the eyes of Greensborough and the wider community we’ve served for generations.

Since 1966, our practice has been woven into the fabric of local life. Generations of families have walked through our doors — from first eye tests as children to frames chosen for milestones big and small. While technology and eyewear styles have evolved dramatically over six decades, one thing has never changed: our commitment to personalised, independent eye care delivered by people who know you by name.

Why celebrating locally matters

A milestone like this doesn’t belong to a practice alone. It belongs to the community that made it possible. Sixty years of trust is built one appointment, one conversation, and one familiar face at a time — and we believe an anniversary should be celebrated the same way: together, and close to home.

Many of our patients have been with us across generations, bringing in their children and later their grandchildren. That continuity is what makes independent, community-based optometry so special. Throughout our anniversary year, we’ll be finding meaningful ways to celebrate with the community that has supported us from the beginning.

Thank you.

To every patient, past and present: thank you for trusting us with your vision and for making us part of your story. Here’s to our community, and here’s to the next chapter. We’d love to see you soon.
